SZ1A New Year’s Event and Cake for 2024

SZ1A New Year's Event and Cake 2024

The traditional New Year’s Cake for 2024 was cut by the Radio Amateur Association of Western Greece, at a well-known restaurant in Agrinio, this afternoon, Sunday, February 4, 2024.

This celebratory event, attended by more than 50 Radio Amateurs, their family members, and friends, allowed members of our active club the opportunity to wish each other a Happy New Year, with health and prosperity, and to converse with each other directly this time and not on the radio waves.

The Radio Amateur Association of Western Greece – SZ1A wishes everyone a happy and prosperous year, and to its members and all fellow Radio Amateurs “good contacts on-air!

The New Year’s pie was blessed by Father Anastasios, priest of the Holy Temple of Agia Varvara, while the President of Union, Thanasis Kapsalis SV1CQK, and the members of the Board of Directors exchanged wishes with all members. This was followed by a meal, and the lucky charm fell to one of our newest club members, who just received his diploma in the recent exams, winning a Morse code paddle/key.
