SZ1A-RAAWG-SCHOOL-Presnetation-2025
SV1DPI and SV1RRX present amateur radio and volunteerism, while the students follow along with great interest.

As part of our volunteer outreach activities, our club was invited on Thursday, March 27, to the 1st Primary School of Agios Konstantinos in Agrinio.

The topic of the presentation was volunteerism and amateur radio, delivered to two fifth-grade classes.

The session was led by Kostas SV1DPI and Sotiris SV1RRX, who represented our Association with enthusiasm and professionalism. A series of slides and videos was shown during the presentation, which captivated both students and teachers.

The event concluded with a hands-on activity: the students practiced using handheld radios and communicated with each other live over the air. A special highlight was the direct contact with SV1UK Apostolos Kavalieris, who spoke to the children about amateur radio and encouraged them to explore it as a hobby.

The visit left a lasting impression on everyone involved — the students, the teachers, and us. It was a truly wonderful experience! Special thanks to Mrs. Giouli, teacher of one of the classes and wife of SV1DPI, for taking the initiative and inviting us.

Here’s to more events like this — and even better ones in the future!
